SOGB 30th Anniversary Candlelight Carol Concert - Thursday 18th December 2008
Please join special guests from the world of entertainment and sport alongside Special Olympics supporters, athletes, their families and friends to help celebrate and honour Special Olympics Great Britain 30th Anniversary at Southwark Cathedral on Thursday 18th December from 7 pm.
Special Olympics Great Britain is a sport organisation that provides a free year-round training and competition programme for 8000 people with learning disabilities across the country. Special Olympics Great Britain is part of an international and non-elitist organisation founded by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, sister of the late President John F Kennedy in 1968. Globally the Special Olympics movement looks to provide an equality of opportunity to people with learning disability.
The traditional Candlelight Carol Concert will feature the Plaxtol Scholars and will capture the spirit of Christmas with carols by candlelight and festive readings.
