The SOGB National Indoor Athletics Championships March 27th and March 28th 2010
held at the Indoor Track at the University of Wales (UWIC.) in Cardiff
Starting at 1 pm on Saturday March 27th 2010. ( NB the doors will not open before 12.30 pm. as the track will be used for local and University athletes training sessions.)
Entry Fees are £17.50 per Athlete which includes a packed lunch for the Athletes on the Sunday, additional packed lunches can be purchased for Team Coaches and Escorts at a cost of £4 per person.
Closing Date for Entries is March 1st 2010 and no later but entries are welcome earlier.
The events will include 60 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres
Classification races for some of the faster 60 metres.
- If teams do not have 60 metre times for their athletes use 50 metre times but please indicate on the entry form that you have done this.
- Long Jump, Standing Long Jump, High Jump, opening height 90cm, Shot Put (4kg men 3.25 women).
- Athletes may enter 2 events, there must be a minimum of 3 entries to make an event.
- Relays for Regional Teams will include 4 x 60 metre shuttle relay, and 4 x 200 metre limited to 3 male teams and 3 female teams per Region.
Entries can be received from individual groups, but at the event they will amalgamate with other groups from theirRegion and Athletes will compete in Regional team colours and Regions are asked to nominate a Regional Head Coach for this event.
Teams are expected to make their own arrangements for their accommodation and meals. Contact Cardiff Tourist Office or contact UWIC as some University accommodation may be available. There is also a nominal Car Park fee of (currently) 50p levied by the University authorities and strictly enforced.
