Special Olympics Great Britain
Year-round sports training and competition for people with learning disabilities
Special Olympics GB provides a free year-round sports training and competition programme to 8000 people with learning disabilities, regardless of their ability, around the country. In 2009, we aim to raise £1 million to support this unique programme and help us grow and develop further opportunities for more people to get involved as athletes, coaches and volunteers.
WE NEED YOU!
We are looking for runners to take part in a series of forthcoming events to help raise much needed funds for the organisation:
5k Run on Sunday 11th October 2009 at Heaton Park, Manchester.
(Minimum fundraising target £100 per person)
'The Great South Run' on 25 October 2009, Porthmouth
No previous experience is required.
The spirit of the event is the “taking part” not “winning” so you can run, jog or walk- you decide!
Take part in teams or as an individual – Please Clarisse Roubert on 020 7377 9264 or pr@sogb.org.uk for your free information pack.
